What PVC and UPVC Actually Mean in Trading

PVC is a general term for PVC-based roof profiles, while UPVC refers to rigid unplasticized PVC. The industry lacks unified definition. Two suppliers selling products marked UPVC may deliver vastly different formulations and service life. Reliable buyers evaluate measurable specs: co-extruded structure, thickness at crest, valley and overlap zones, weight per square meter and official profile drawings, rather than just product names.

Common Field Failures and Root Causes

Four recurring issues trigger warranty disputes. Fading and chalking mainly come from low-quality UV layers and unstable pigments.
